My
adventurous daughter Nel, with her self-reliant spirit, leadership qualities
and gorgeous red hair, was the inspiration for this work. The Yin and
Yang ring on her finger was bought during a visit with Nel when she lived
in Daylesford, Australia. This symbol represents the idealised balance
of energy, flowing into, and a part of each other.
